The Hunt x Hollow: Chapter 3Chapter 3: The More You Can Customise Something, The More Frustrating It Can Become
The road trip was over. Eva waved as Grace drove away, the sound of thrash metal blasting out of the windows. She had enjoyed the music before, but going into metal territory was too much even for her. Noticing the kids had already left without her, she walked into town. Aquacorde and its famous river had become a bustling tourist attraction for those seeking a peaceful getaway from the city. Entering the town square, Eva was glad to be back. She had only spent a day here last time, but she found the sandstone buildings with their clean architectural lines refreshing. It was bright here with no mountains to obscure the sky and feel blocked in by.
She sat down on the edge of the town fountain, feeling amused when Serena moved seats the second she sat down next to her. Nearby Shauna was washing off her sandals under a tap. Grimacing internally, she was glad she had been in the front seat
The Hunt x Hollow: Chapter 2Chapter 2: Mandatory Road Trip Playlist
The green lustre from Shauna’s hands was cooling on Eva’s skin. The gash on her cheek began to stitch itself back together under the girl’s healing influence. Glancing down at her jacket Eva realised she’d have to wash it when she got home. Shauna’s low tolerance for blood had meant minutes waiting with a dripping wound while the girl composed herself. In a way it was amusing though, Shauna’s wobbly knees made her look like a Tentacool trying to walk on land.
“I-I’m done,” Shauna sighed in relief. The only thing left was a slightly discoloured line of flesh which would eventually fade in a few days. She attempted a smile, only for her trembling hands to betray her. The accident had definitely shaken her up.
Eva rubbed her cheek. It was tingling. Her fingers gingerly touched the bottom of her eyepatch. It seemed likely that the injury was a result of misjudging the distance bet

Chapter 1: Children Learn Best Through Failure (But Not When It’s Someone Else’s Failure – Then They Just Laugh Or Become Traumatised)
Eva raised her hand to her left eye. It was aching again. She rubbed the skin around her eyepatch and grimaced as she lifted it up slightly – it was never a pretty sight. Staring at herself in the mirror, she ran a hand through her dishevelled, platinum-coloured hair. Her heavy-lidded, glazed-over expression had become the default over the years, leaving her with the outward appearance of permanent exhaustion. Either way though, she was tired. Staying up all night to read had definitely been a bad idea. Grumbling, she tied her hair into a loose ponytail. There was no point in dressing properly; it was only a school day after all.
As she began to contemplate going back to bed for another hour, a sudden banging came from the ground floor.
